Mapping a Better Experience: A UX-Driven Software Revamp
The legacy map-making software had become a source of frustration for its users — inefficient, outdated, and hard to navigate. Many users had voiced complaints about clunky workflows, slow performance, and unintuitive interfaces. I took on the challenge of transforming this tool into a modern, user-friendly platform by crafting a clear vision, leading a strategic redesign, and grounding every decision in deep user research.

The Challenge
The original software suffered from:
-
Inefficient workflows that required unnecessary steps to complete basic tasks
-
Poor UI/UX that confused users and created steep learning curves
-
Negative user sentiment, with a consistent stream of complaints about speed, reliability, and usability
Despite its potential, the software was losing relevance. Engagement was falling, and new users were abandoning it quickly. It was clear that a complete rethink was needed — not just a redesign, but a reimagining.
